When we first got the seven babies, we needed a hutch for them. So we went Gumtree searching. Found a hutch... and it came with a pregnant Lilly! Her previous owners had been about to move up north, and had been selling the hutch. Lilly had a home lined up for her, along with her otter boyfriend, but the home feel through. So we brought her home, and a week or so later she gave birth to four babies, one still born.
Two of the boys, Swiss and Socksie, ended up on a plane heading up north to their new home. One of the boys didn't make it, passing away a few days after arriving, but the other boy thrived in his new home. Lee, the frosty boy, ended up with a lady who worked at Coffee Club. We didn't keep in touch, but a month or two after he'd gone to his new home, Storm commented on a post on a rabbit facebook group, saying that one of the buns there reminded her of a baby she'd once had. Lee's owners commented with a picture of Lee flopped in their lap.
Tia stayed on with us, living with Lymeria until Lymeria passed, then becoming one of our breeding mums before she went to her new home during the Big Move. She had one litter with our Cookie boy, which was actually an accident (she chewed a whole right through the wooden floor of her hutch in one night just to get to Cookie's level below, sneaky girl).
